English Rose

April Color of the Month

Spring has sprung! Bring the delicate color of rose petals to your home by painting with English Rose. This pale pink is a soft, elegant way to bring some gorgeous color to your furniture, frames, or even walls.

English Rose goes great with many different accent colors. Last month we paired it with Park Bench to create a vibrant pop of color. You could also pair it with gold accents to make your little princess feel like royalty. It would also look amazing with navy or black – scroll down to the end to see how someone else used English Rose with black to create a one-of-a-kind piece.

English Rose is a great way to add a dash of elegance to any room in your home.

The Professional Paint for the Everyday DIYer

Like all Fusion paints, English Rose delivers spectacular results. This gives furniture painters a best-in-class paint with an environmentally conscious formulation. It also has zero VOCs and superior durability. Its one-step application and improved strength makes it suited for your toughest projects.

English Rose is available in two sizes – pints and testers. Each pint is able to cover 75 square feet of material (see the photo for an example of all the pieces you can paint with just one pint of Fusion). A Fusion Mineral Paint tester is 1.25 ounces, and this is enough to finish many smaller projects, such as picture frames and/or candlesticks. Fusion Mineral Paint has more than 50 gorgeous colors to choose from, but you can purchase your very own pint or tester of English Rose here. (Be sure to check out the full list of our available Fusion Paint colors in our online shop.)

DIY Starburst Pegboard

Check out this fun project from FusionMineralPaint.com – they used English Rose, Mustard, and a starburst stencil to make this pegboard go from dull to delightful! They walk you through an at-home DIY project that gives your kitchen a bright punch of color as well as a handy place to store your accessories. Let us know if you try this project out for yourself – we’d love to see the results!

Painting with English Rose

Watch the video here to see an adorable bench get updated with Fusion’s English Rose. I often hear that “the first coat of paint isn’t the true color” and with English Rose, that’s entirely correct. You’ll need two coats of paint in order to really see the color come through here.

As you can see from the video, English Rose is a very soft, delicate, and pretty color to paint with. I’m using a round brush here, which is great for pieces with spindles. Check out the available paint brushes in our online shop; we have both regular brushes and cling on brushes!
